Lead Data Scientist Central London


This is a unique opportunity to join one of the largest and most well-known high-frequency trading company based in the UK. This lead role will involve working closely with senior stakeholders and the Head of Analytics to devise strategy for your team as well as remaining hands-on to apply machine learning methodologies to their large sets of customer and transaction data. The customer is at the heart of everything they do and so gaining clear, actionable insight is key for the continuing success of the business.


As the Lead Data Scientist you will be:

  • The resident expert on machine learning techniques and Bayesian methods.
  • Performing analysis based on customer data through segmentation, clustering & predictive modelling.
  • Lead a team of 4 Data Scientists carrying out new projects based on exploratory research into their Big Data environment.


You will be:

  • Experienced in working with large volumes of customer, transaction and loyalty data.
  • A strong user of R or Python for applied machine learning.
  • Practised in delivering insights to stakeholders and co-founders.
  • Educated to MSc or ideally Ph.D. level in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Statistics or Sciences.


£90,000 + Bonus + Benefits
